This setup guide will show you how to configure Eudora Pro Version 4.0 for use with Saferinternet. If when you start Eudora a configuration wizard appears, simply press Cancel.
First, to setup Eudora Pro 4, you need to select the "Tools Menu" at the top of Eudora, then select "Options".
You will now get the Eudora properties on the screen. From here, select "Getting Started". You need to enter a few settings on this screen. First, in the box labeled "Real Name", enter in your own name (in the example screenshot it says Your Name). Next, in the Return Address box, enter your Saferinternet email address. For the "Mail Server (Incoming)" box, type in "mail.#PV Domain#". Now in the Login Name box, enter in your Saferinternet Username. This is the first part of your email address before the @ symbol.
Now in the "Category" section, select "Checking Mail". This should already be filled in correctly for you, but double check them. In the Mail Server field, it should say "mail.#PV Domain#" and your Saferinternet username should be in the "Login Name" box.
On this window, you also need to enter "10" into the "Check for new mail every.." box. You may want to place a check mark in "Save Password", this will mean that you never have to type your password in to check your mail.
The last thing to do is to configure the "Sending Mail" options in the "Category" section. In the "Return Address" section, enter your Saferinternet username. In the box labeled "Domain" to be added to unqualified addresses, enter in "www.#PV Domain#", and lastly in the box labeled SMTP server, enter in "smtp.#PV Domain#".
Once you have done this, simply press "Ok" and Eudora Pro 4 is now all configured and working!
